Effuse Bulletin - September 17th, 2003

Hello Effuse.org Supporters (or the like),

You may wonder what has been going on with the effuse development project, and may wonder why the site went down for an extended amount of time. Well, as it turns out there were several hosting issues, and we ended up losing out on a contract for hosting. We have moved the effuse.org project to another server, and it should be much more reliable, as it's the same server that hosts many of the administrator's websites.

As for the project itself, it strives forward. We are discussing new ideas, and new initiatives will be explored before we decided what to do with this project. But this is the word, and you can take it to the bank, effuse is not dead. It will not die on the operation table; it will come out stronger and healthy. Effuse may have hurt itself by thinking too large, and by trying to emulate other successful communities. We are rethinking the objectives of the effuse community, and we will come out with a well thought out plan of what we want to do, and what we wish to accomplish.

I hope that through all this trouble and downtime, you will still be as excited as I am for the possibilities this rethinking and rebuilding may bring to the table. Until then.
